Omada offers two distinctive operation modes to cater to network complexity and user preferences:

In Standalone Mode, users can conveniently handle individual EAPs or wireless routers without needing intricate controller configurations. This mode is optimal for smaller networks that have few devices and need straightforward management, an excellent choice for home networking scenarios.

For larger network environments, Controller Mode becomes indispensable, capable of managing a vast range of devices, including gateways, switches, and EAPs, via a software Controller or a hardware Cloud Controller. It provides enhanced configuration options and the capability to automatically synchronize settings across devices for seamless management. Access in Controller Mode is available through Local Access, on the same subnet, or via Cloud Access, allowing for device management from anywhere with an internet connection.

Controller Mode compatibility encompasses hardware cloud controllers (OC200 V1, OC300 V1), and software versions v3.0.2 and above. The game's Standalone Mode supports a spectrum of device models, each requiring the latest firmware available for download, with expanded device support in the future.
